PRAYER AND MENTAL HEALTH

POWER OF PRAYER
prayer is thankfulness, it is the most subtle and refined form of love.it cannot be taught. prayer is the oneness with the universe. prayer is silence. when you silent then prayer starts.prayer is the fragrance of love.
PRAYER OBJECTS
*rosary with beads 108 for Hindus, smaller for Muslims and Christians.
*bells ranging from huge bells in church towers to small bells in necklaces.
*gongs and cymbals for signings and chanting.
*prayer wheels in Buddhist temples that have to be turned around by worshipers.
*incense for fragrance in almost all religious places of worship and in homes.*lamps and candles to spread the lights.
but prayer is your inner journey there is no need to focus your energy to any object because prayer is an unsung song. prayer is a state of simplicity. it is not of words but of silence. it is the sound of silence just to feel and watch with naked eyes.when you disappear when your pseudo god disappear then prayer start, when everything is in emptiness then you are in direct contact with existence.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BODY
the new science of psychoneuroimmunology looks at the relationship between mind and body. when we have a thought or feeling our brain produces neuropeptides or nerve proteins that send chemical messages to other cells in the body. prayer helps produce serotonin, a neuropeptide, that positively influences mood and behavior. the healing process starts here.stress hormone comes down when we pray.the science of prayer is getting more interesting. in the US medical schools have mixed the study of medicine with spirituality. the prayer has to be new, as new as the morning sun or the morning dewdrops.it is deep gratitude. prayer is receiving the gifts.prayer is trust and it is come out of deep meditation which improve mental health and spiritual reality.

DEPRESSION

we have a fundamental choice, we can run from these feelings, which will only make them stronger, we can try to fit them into a framework of belief either or someone Else's. we can see depression in moral terms and believe that it is a sign of weakness. we can view it in medical terms and seek treatment with a physician, we can believe it is psychological and seek in our past for the answer. depression is social illness also as will as mental illness. it is not merely a deeper experience of our moral emotions of sadness, suffering or grief. intense emotions are present in us hopelessness, worthlessness, and a profound and  unexplained sadness, we feel that we are alone we are helpless, hopeless. thoughts of death intrude into our consciousness. we may even filled with suicide.depression is curable because it is just the problem with the outer world, depression is not inner it is linked with our outer feelings and outer demands , needs.
         you have to just sit quietly and give your attention to your breath flowing in and out, after sometime you will see and feel that something is cooling inside you . you are feeling relax as more and more you concentrate on your breathing you will feel more and more relax and empty. so, just sit down and shut up!

globalisation affects the way people live and work. it is hardly surprising, then, that globalisation and its related social, political, psychological. ecological and economics changes affect the mental health of individuals and countries. economic and social change has left many people without incomes and has lead to a breakdown in traditional families and communities structures as the most able travel miles to live in crowded, polluted slums in search of work.waste disposal problems, traffic congesstion, pollution and high crime rates make slum tough places to live and add to the chances of people suffering mental health problems.to understand more about how globalisation affects the mental health of people living in poor countries, for the development of that nations the following steps need to be taken........
*develop and disseminate research on the impact of globalisation on mental health of the people.

RACISM AND MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE
racism is a mental health issue. differences in mental health among people of colour and aboriginal people compared with he white people or any type of castism, coluor and creed, do not result from biological or genetic factors but from social, psychological, political and economic equities.
NEGATIVE IMPACT OF RACISM ON MENTAL HEALTH
* higher risk of tension, depression, mental retardation and suicide.
* feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, fear danger, mistrust, despair, alienation, and loss of control even life.
* damaged self power, self esteem, high risk of addiction and violence.
* more risk of mental illness, stress, high blood pressure, heart disease and major problems of nervous system.
* higher infant death rate.
* shorter life span.
* violence and terrorism.
* poorer general health, poor mental health and high risk of mental illness.
* depressed immune system.
* unemployment, underemployment,lower wages and unsafe working conditions.
* limited access to job, housing , education and the services we need to mentally healthy.
   there are many factors that should be considered while treating mental illness.mental health does not 
   discriminate. but race, culture, ethnicity are part of the education and mental health experts should take and  keep  in mind that all into account when they are treating mental illness.
           mental health is vast and endless topic we should keep in mind that we should not divide the 
    people on the color cast and creed all are alike and  same. give the opportunity to all to survive and give 
    the people meditation  to make the life beautiful and colourfull. mental health and meditation is the ultimate
    way to feel happy and blissful.

mental health is the description of the way people, think, feel and act." a positive state of mental health is defined by people's ability to work, to view themselves, their relationships, their resources and their vulnerabilities in a reasonable and adaptive manner.
              mental health has been largely seen an 'icing on the cake' by the most people. the refrain is that if people do not have nutrition, shelter or non abusive contexts, how can one think of mental health efforts in the developing world ? if one has lost one's mental health the capicity to work, to love, to think positively, to enjoy, to think and learn clearly, all the material things one has acquired are worth nothing, meaningless and useless and bring no happiness.mental health is important and relevant in day to day life.remember health has no use without mental health because mental health is the center point and the highway to complete well being. in this modern world medical science is going deeper and deeper in to phenomena of mental health and disease, they are becoming aware that each disease has a personality in it; it belongs to the person. so now they say don't treat the disease treat the person, give him meditation to improve the personality and the disease will automatically be removed. don't to concerned with the disease. look into the person, develop his total personality, his way of life, his attitudes, his habit patterns and you will see the drastic change with the passage of time. so just give him meditation and you will see the result.
             somebody asked Buddha ' what is the taste of your buddhahood'. he said 'go and taste the see, and taste it from anywhere, from this bank or from that bank, or go to the middle of the ocean and taste it there, or go to the other shore and you will find the taste always same everywhere, the same taste. buddhahood has one taste, whoever has become a Buddha has come to the same taste. so mental health has the same taste, if your deep root is healthy  then you will be also healthy, mentally healthy. so improve your personality to make life mentally healthy.

PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE

 Rest is just sand & beer
a philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. when the class began,wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2'' in diameter. he then asked the students if the jar was full. the agreed that it was full. so the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. he shook the jar lightly. the pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. he then asked the students again if the jar was full. they agreed it was full. the professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. of course, the sand filled up everything else. he then asked once more if the jar was full. the students answered with a unanimous ''yes''.
                       the professor then produced two canes of beer from under the table and proceeded to pour their entire contents into he jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.
the students laughs ''now,'' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,'' i want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. the rocks are the important things-your family , your partner, you health, your children- things that everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. the pebbles are the other things.that matter like your jobs, your house ,your car. the sand is everything else. the small stuff.'' ''if you put the sand into the jar first,'' he continued,'' there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. the same goes for your life. if you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. play with your children. take time to get medical checkups. take your partner out dancing. there will always be time to go to work. clean the house, give the dinner party and fix the disposal. take care of the rocks first-the things that really matter. set your priorities. the rest is just sand & beer.

right sleep:pllar of mental health

it is really very very important for the every human being to have right sleep because if you are unable to sleep or uncomfortable to get right sleep it means you are mentally ill, some thing is wrong with you, somewhere is illness in your mind and your physically body.if you want to torture somebody then the best method is to disturb his sleep because a man cannot survive for long time without right sleep, sleep is meditation also it gives you fragrance of nature fragrance of more and more live, full charming life.you know the chines first discovered to torture the man simply not allowing a person to sleep. they would make the man to stand in a cell and not to move anywhere and they used to drip water from above which used to fall on his head, drop by drop, unable to move at all even unable to sit or stand. if you kill a person, he does not suffer as much as when you do not let him sleep because it is only in sleeping that he regains what he has lost. if he is unable to sleep, then he keeps losing his life energy and does not get anything back. he becomes totally dried out. we are dried out people because to promote and live mentally healthy it is necessary to open the doors of right directions, so keep in mind that meditation is the ultimate path .lying down on your bed is not sleep you need right sleep to wake up mentally and spiritually.
